31 Days of Candy Day 26: Chocolate Smooch Free Crochet Pattern

Guys, tomorrow is my wedding day! I can hardly believe that it’s finally here. I feel like my fiancé Stephen and I have waited such a long time for this day to come, but now that it’s arrived it feels like time flew by. To celebrate this momentous occasion being tomorrow, I’ve created today’s candy especially for this time, a Chocolate Smooch. This candy is inspired by Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses, the delicious little chocolate morsels that spread romantic cheer. For those of you who know that Stephen doesn’t like chocolate, it might seem strange that I’m celebrating the day before my wedding with chocolate. He agreed though that this candy was perfect for this day! Though he may not like the candy, it does work for our wedding time. My day today is filled with all…

31 Days of Candy Day 25: Spicy Tamale Free Crochet Candy Pattern

It’s Day 25 friends! We’re in the last few days of our candy event, and I’m just a couple days from my wedding. Our candy of the day today is that spice cinnamon candy known as a Hot Tamale, which I’m naming Spicy Tamale! Just like yesterday’s candy, today’s was inspired by a suggestion from one of my Instagram followers. Her suggestion to make a Hot Tamale with a sombrero hat inspired me right away, and thus this design came to life. Even if I haven’t had the candy very many times, creating this design made me want to eat some!     I don’t know if I’ve ever had an actual hot tamale candy, but their cinnamon flavor reminds me a lot of my fiancé, Stephen, who loves cinnamon! Since he…

31 Days of Candy Day 24: Fairy Stick Free Crochet Pattern

Fairy stick anyone? Today’s candy of the day is a Fairy stick inspired by the thin sticks of sugar known as Pixie Sticks. That candy was always one that my sister and I loved getting as kids, and their sugary goodness was always so delicious. I mean if they’re made of complete sugar that’s fruity flavored, what’s not to love?   The idea of this candy came from one of my Instagram followers making the suggestion that I make a Pixie Stick. I had all of candies planned except for three, and I was in such a creative slump that I couldn’t think of anything to make. When my Instagram friend suggested a Pixie Stick, a lightbulb lit up in my head. Ideas started flowing in and I once again had my creative thinking back! I right away thought of…

31 Days of Candy Day 23: Candy Ring Free Crochet Candy Pattern

Anyone else ever feel like your brain is completely dead and you need something to help you get out of it? I am definitely feeling that way. Today’s candy for Day 23 of the 31 Days of Candy, is a Candy Ring, inspired by LifeSaver candies, which I could need right about now. This candy was a favorite of my sister and I when we were kids. We loved those colorful candy rings, and all of the fun flavors that they had. I wish that I could name this pattern a LifeSaver, but since it is trademarked, I decided to name it a Candy Ring.     Right now I’ve been feeling like I need a LifeSaver to help me with the creative slump I’ve been in. My brain has been feeling so exhausted with creating a new candy each day, along with writing…

31 Days of Candy Day 22: Ribbon Candy Free Crochet Pattern

Day 22 of the 31 Days of Candy is here! Almost one week till this month is over and our event comes to a close. Today’s candy is: ribbon candy! Have you ever heard of this candy? This candy doesn’t come out around halloween, but instead makes its debut around Christmas time. Confectioners in New England developed it for Christmas decorations in their shops, and it spread throughout the U.S. as people fell in love with the wavy view of this candy.   I’ve never actually eaten this candy, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it eaten before. Despite that, it’s one of my favorite candies visually. It has such beautiful colors, waves, and looks wonderful paired with gingerbread houses or other Christmas confections. When I was growing up, I loved to watch Victorian themed tv…
