It’s Day 4 of the 31 Days of Candy! Today is all about gumdrops with my Goofy Gumdrop pattern. My fiancé once again came up for the name of this pattern, and I’m pretty sure he’s a genius at naming things. I don’t know how he’s able to come up with so many things! I think the name perfectly fits this little candy because it’s face turned out a little goofy. It’s still cute though!
Personally I’ve never liked the strange sweet and spicy flavor of gumdrops even though I love how spices taste in food. My brain always thinks that they are going to taste like sour patch kids, but then when they are spicy instead I don’t know what to do, haha. I do love this crocheted gumdrop! It’s tiny, sparkly, and is a super easy crochet pattern to make. There are no complicated stitches involved at all, and you’ll be able to crochet this in less than a half hour. Let’s get started!

- The pieces of this pattern are crocheted in continuous rounds with no joining. Mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker. The silly sucker is worked from the top down in continuous rounds.

- Face is made of felt pieces that are cut out and sewn on to crocheted piece. Download my Felt Pieces for Plushies PDF Printout for the face pieces you’ll cut out of felt. Cut two eyes out of black felt, the mouth out of pink felt, and the tongue out of red felt. If you don’t know how to sew on felt pieces, see my Youtube video below that shows how to do it.
