Construction
This beanie pattern is a great beginner fair isle crochet pattern. It’s made in the round, and starts out with half double crochet ribbing. Then, once you finish the brim, you continue to make the body by switching to the waistcoat stitch.

Pumpkin Spice Beanie Pattern:
Using Color A, ch 62 sts, join the last ch to the first ch with a sl st to begin working in the round.
The ch 2 or 1 at the beginning of each rnd does not count as a stitch. Pattern is worked in continuous rnds.
Rnd 1: ch 2, starting in the next ch after the one you joined, hdc 1 in each of the ch sts around, join with sl st to ch 2at beginning of rnd [61 sts]

Fasten off leaving a long tail for closing up the beanie.
To close the beanie, use a whip stitch around the top of the beanie. Thread a tapestry needle and insert the needle down into the first stitch, then up through the next one. Repeat all the way around, then pull the hat closed. If you would like, attach a faux fur Pom Pom after the hat is all done.
