Get ready for spooky season with an adorable ghost crochet pattern with a twist: a ghost puppy! This free amigurumi ghost is more sweet than spooky, and will happily haunt his way into your heart. It is the perfect amigurumi ghost for decorating or cuddling with during Halloween!
This amigurumi ghost crochet pattern is no sew and uses basic crochet stitches to make it. It’s a great pattern if you are an advanced beginner with amigurumi!

How to Crochet the Ghost Puppy Pattern
When designing this pattern, I wanted to make it as easy as possible, so I went with a no sew pattern! Everyone loves not having to seam a bunch of pieces and needing to not line up everything just right. In this pattern, you’ll crochet the ears and arms first before working on the body. Then while you’re working on the body you’ll crochet those pieces to the body.
What Yarn Should You Use
I made this pattern with Premier Parfait Chunky, which is a weight 6 super bulky yarn. It is a chenille blanket yarn that helps make this crochet ghost pattern really cuddly. However, if you don’t like blanket yarn, you could easily substitute! You could use another type of super bulky yarn or even make a smaller ghost puppy by using worsted weight yarn.

Rnd 21: Sc around
The next rnd switches to using dc to create a nice ruffle. Note that the dc 2 is done over 2 sts, and is not an inc.
Rnd 22: Ch 2, *dc 2, dc 3 in next st, repeat from * around
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Attach eyes above the muzzle. I placed mine on rnd 7 spaced 4 sc apart.
Embroider nose and mouth. I embroidered a triangle with black worsted weight yarn, and then did one line coming from the bottom tip of the triangle.
Stuff body. Then we will rejoin the yarn to close up the puppy.
Rnd 1: Join yarn with a sl st to one of the loops of when you sc through the front loops only. Ch 1, sc 1 in the same st you joined in. The rest of the rnd is worked through the rest of the loops. To continue rnd starting in the next sc, Sc 4, dec 1, [sc 5, dec 1] 5 times (30 sts)
Rnd 2: *sc 4, dec 1, repeat from * around (24 sts)
Rnd 3: *sc 3, dec 1, repeat from * around (18 sts)
Rnd 4: *sc 2, dec 1, repeat from * around (12 sts)
If any more stuffing is needed, add it now.
Rnd 5: *sc 1, dec 1, repeat from * around (6 sts)
Rnd 6: dec 6 around
Fasten off and weave in ends.
