This crochet blanket wrap pattern was originally designed for the Joy of Motion blog, but now I get to share it on mine as well! I wanted to create a soft and cozy crochet wrap pattern that feels like a blanket, but has the style of a boho crochet wrap. I couldn’t help adding some crochet bobbles as well, which make the cutest accents!
Inspiration
When I first designed this pattern, I was just starting to venture into the world of designing wearables, so I wanted to make something beginner friendly. I was really obsessed with velvet yarn (and still am), which meant that if I could make something that felt like a blanket, I was going to design it to have that feel with more style. I mean, who doesn’t want to wear a blanket in public that looks cute? That made a crochet blanket pattern the perfect thing to make! Give me all of the blankets please! Construction
Let’s talk about the construction of this wrap. Feeling worried about not being able to make a garment? Girl, I got you! This crochet wrap pattern is one of the simplest garments out there that you can make. It’s made from one rectangle that is sewn up to create the sleeves. If you can crochet a rectangle then you can make this! The pattern comes in sizes S-5X, with the S-M sizes being included in this free version. The Yarn
All I can say is that I’m obsessed with velvet yarn! If you’ve never worked with it, then let this be the first time you use it, because it is the softest yarn that you’ll ever touch or work with. Bernat Velvet yarn is incredibly soft, and it’s a bulky weight yarn, which helps this wrap work up really fast. I know that some people don’t like velvet yarn, so if you want to supplement it with another weight 5 bulky yarn you totally can. One of my other favorite bulky weight yarns is Lion Brand Color Made Easy or Bernat Softee Chunky.

Starting with Main Color
R1 (using MC): Ch 124, starting in 3rd ch from hook, dc 122 [122 st]
R2: ch 2 (does not count as stitch from now and in each row after), turn, *bobble in next st, dc 1 in next st* repeat from * to end [122 st]
R3-9: ch 2, turn, dc 122 [122 st]
R10: repeat row 2
Switch to Secondary Color
R11: ch 2, turn, *bobble in next st, dc 1 in next st* repeat from * to end [122 st]
R12-14: ch 2, turn, dc 122 [122 st]

SR 3-7: ch 2, turn, dc 56 [56]
SR 8: ch 2, turn,*bobble in next st, dc 1 in next st* repeat from * to end [56]
Switch to Secondary Color
SR 9: ch 2, turn, *bobble in next st, dc 1 in next st* repeat from * to end [56]
SR 10: ch 2, turn, dc 56 across [56]
SR 11&13: repeat SR 9
SR 12&14: repeat SR 10
Fasten off first sleeve side. Then repeat the sleeve rows on the other side by sl st in the stitch at the end of the row of the main piece.
Once you’ve finished both sleeves, fasten off and weave in ends.
Then you’re all done!
