As I was thinking of designs that I wanted to make for the spring, I realized that I didn’t have a single pattern that could be specific to Easter. Years of designing and not one single Easter pattern! I had to rectify that right away, and keep it nice and simple since I want to do more simple patterns this year. With that in mind, I came up with this cute crochet garland pattern that can be used for Easter or during spring. I love how it turned out!

How to Crochet the Hop Into Spring Garland
My goal for this design was to make the construction for this design with as little seaming and pieces as possible. The carrot and daisy are both made in one piece, and the bunny body is crocheted seamlessly with then a bunny tail sewn on. The patterns use basic stitches, and there is a video tutorial walking you through each step of the pattern. It’s a great pattern if you want to increase your crochet skills while still keeping things simple.
Each of the pieces of this pattern could also be used as appliques on a wide variety of crochet projects from blankets to sweaters to pillows. So many possibilities with these cute spring patterns!

- The ch 1 at the beginning of the rows does not count as a stitch
- The carrot and daisy are seamless, and the bunny involves minor seaming.

Fasten off the Pumpkin yarn.
To make the carrot leaves, do the following:

Daisy Pattern:
Start with the Lemonade yarn.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, sc 6 in the 2nd ch from hook [6 sts]
Rnd 2: Sc 2 in each sc around. Switch to the Ecru or white on the last yarn over of the last sc of the rnd [12 sts]
Rnd 3: *Sc 1, ch 8, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc 1, hdc 1, dc 1, tr 1, dc 1, hdc 1, sc 1, then sc 1 in the next sc of the yellow center, repeat from * around and instead of a sc on the last st, join with a sl st to the first sc
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Bunny Pattern:
The following is the body of the bunny, and is made with the Hazelnut colored yarn.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, sc 6 in the 2nd ch from hook [6 sts]
Rnd 2: Sc in in each sc around [12 sts]
Rnd 3: *Sc 1, inc, repeat from *around

Rnd 5: *Sc 3, inc, repeat from *around
Rnd 6: *Sc 4, inc, repeat from *around, sl st into the first sc of rnd
You’ll now make the head off of the body. It is worked in rows.
Row 1: ch 2, hdc 5 [5 sts]
Row 2: ch 1, sc 1, sk 1, dc 5 in next sc, sk 1, sc 1
Now you’ll make the ears.
Row 3: [Ch 7, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc 1, hdc 1, dc 2, hdc 1, sc 1, sl st into the next st on the head], sl st 4, [Ch 7, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc 1, hdc 1, dc 2, hdc 1, sc 1, sl st into the next st on the head]
Fasten off and weave in ends.
To make the bunny tail, use the Ecru colored yarn and do the following:
Ch 6, starting in the 3rd ch from the hook, crochet 4 bobble sts, sl st into the top of the first bobble st
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing onto the bunny. Center the bunny tail in the middle of the bunny, and sew it on.
Assembling the Garland
To finish the pattern, you can string the carrots, bunnies, and daisies onto a strand of yarn or a strand of chain stitches.
